All three are written in a short verse from Psalm 118!
Psalm 118:14 "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation".
This is actually one of my all-time favorite bible verses - so short and sweet but so deep in meaning.
The Lord is my salvation
This is the most important point!
What did He save me from? From eternal death, punishment for my sins. Jesus won the biggest victory so that I can have eternal life in Heaven. And it applies to everyone!
Recently I've heard a thought that worshipping God for salvation is a sign of "weak Christianity" and we're not that bead ourselves. I don't agree! Christianity is all about His victory and His mercy to us.
The Lord is my strength
First of all, physical: thanks to Him I wake up every morning, thanks to Him I have enough power and energy to do everything that I'm doing. He strengthens and renews me.
And also, spiritual. He gives me the strength to fight sin and temptations (and to win), He gives me the inspiration to serve others. To be an answer to other people's needs is a special power and it comes from the Father.
The Lord is my song
A song means joy! With my rationalism, I always analyze everything. And even when I had a nice day I would still give it about 80% in my head (because of this and that...) But God always has a joy that can not be quantified or logically explained. It's this kind of joy when you're just happy, when my soul sings.
I really want each of you to know the God that is not just a book or a sermon character, but I want you to know Him so closely that your soul would sing after talking to Him and that your strength would be renewed in Him. Because the Lord is our Saviour!
